Marine Cable Puller Job Summary The Marine Cable Puller will be responsible for installing, organizing, and securing low and high-voltage cables onboard ships. The ideal candidate will have expertise in marine electrical systems, including cable grouping, fastening, and managing cable inserts. This role requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and an understanding of marine-specific installation protocols. Marine Cable Puller Responsibilities

  • Install low and high-voltage cables onboard ships, ensuring compliance with marine standards.
  • Separate and organize cable groups systematically to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Open and close cable inserts accurately to ensure proper sealing and protection.
  • Fasten and secure cables using appropriate tools and methods to withstand marine environments.
  • Inspect and test cable installations to ensure proper functionality and compliance with design specifications.
  • Identify and troubleshoot installation issues and recommend solutions.
  • Follow all safety regulations and industry standards during installations.
  • Ensure proper handling and routing of cables to prevent wear, damage, or hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections.
  • Communicate progress and issues to supervisors or project managers. Marine Cable Puller Position Requirements
    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electrical or marine systems is preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in low and high-voltage cable installations, preferably in the marine industry.
    • Proficiency in cable installation techniques specific to ships, including grouping and fastening.
    • Knowledge of opening/closing cable inserts and sealing methods.
    • Strong understanding of marine electrical systems and safety protocols.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work in confined spaces onboard ships.
    • Comfortable with climbing ladders and working at heights as needed.
